United Services follows the standards set by the National Association of Roofing Contractors and ensures your roof is replaced to meet city building codes. These standards include:

1. Removing all layers of old shingles.
2. Checking the decking under the shingles and replacing any rotted lumber.
3. Checking and replacing any damaged flashing around chimneys, pipes, skylights, etc.
4. Replacing the roofing felt (underlayment) with the appropriate material - 15 or 30 lb.
5. Installing ice and water shield to prevent leaking from ice and snow build-up.
6. Installing metal valleys where the slopes of the roof meet.
